JungHae and I have had intertwining careers for decades. A musician of international acclaim, she has performed throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. And she has performed numerous times in her home town of Brisbane. In thinking about her portrait I was inspired by a painting by the American artist Wayne Thiebaud. In her portrait the foreground is white, the background black. On the table is an open facsimile score of Bach’s Partitas for Harpsichord. The camera captures an artist with a mature perspective on the repertoire of the Baroque period.
