Deanna is an artist of such an ebullient nature that I struggled to think of how I might capture her. I chose apples as an artifact for her shoot. Apples symbolize knowledge, love, beauty, and temptation. Unlike the iconic green apples featured in René Magritte’s surrealistic paintings, I choose red apples to match Deanna’s fiery personality. Her portrait portrays the wonder and whimsy that is integral to Deanna’s creative energy.
